Leonise is a 10 year old young lady from Haiti, who was the recipient of a free heart surgery compliments of HEARTGIFT. HEARTGIFT Foundation brings children from around the world for free surgery to correct life-threatening heart defects. As a gift for them, I shot this photo of Leonise the day before she left to go back home. I think she looks happy to be alive and headed home.
