Johnny’s Rust Rapture collection is a perfect solution for those with commercial and hospitality spaces or homes looking for stunningly bold abstract photography for their space. Each image has been sculpted from an very close up photograph of the rusted exterior of vintage hot rods and rat rods. Rat Rods are hot rods whose exteriors have been left to the demise of mother nature – sun, rain, wind and an occasional belt sander. The unusual textures and patina that is left behind is what Johnny strives to reveal.
“My Rust Rapture piece makes me feel like I could reach out and touch the original textures due to its three dimensional effect. The depth of intense color, shadows and detail always has me taking a second look and seeing something new. We place the art in various rooms of my home, depending on the season, since it seamlessly catches all the natural light and reflects a different look each time!”
