STALEMATE Gangster scene

I just needed to get out of the box and do something different. These guys Dave Meiher (left), Kelli Williams and Arthur Gurney helped me do just that as we set up this Gatsby era gangster scene that I shot in the Vino Vino restaurant in Austin, Texas. It is called “STALEMATE”. The pillars in the background I shot at the Galvez Hotel in Galveston and were masked in in photoshop. Lane Orsak was the Art Director. Marc Swendner did lighting. Erica Gray – makeup. My inspiration was this image by Richard Sturdevant in Houston –“Dead Man’s Hand”. I still have Kelli’s dress if anyone wants to buy it. It is a beautiful mint green roaring 20’s flapper dress.
